Event Details:
All Unlimited USA Archery and World Archery Modern Flight Divisions are eligible to compete.
These include: Unlimited Conventional and Compound Flight Bow, Foot Bow, Unlimited Foot
Bow, and Flight Crossbow. The Smith Creek dry lakebed surface is very hard and dry, and the
air is very thin at the 6200-foot elevation. This makes the location perfect for shooting and
finding the smaller flight arrows launched extreme distances. We do not recommended using
arrows constructed of wood or cane due to the hard surface conditions.
The schedule may be modified at the time of the tournament to accommodate special
circumstances such as extreme weather conditions.
Contestants are limited to shoot one equipment division per scheduled round/end.
Contestants have the option of choosing which equipment division shot for each round/end,
provided registration of the equipment beforehand. The contestant has the option to compete
with the same equipment division for all scheduled rounds/ends, or entering and competing in
a different bow division for each round/end.
Additional Information:
While we hope for mild and dry weather, it is best to be prepared for an unpredictable mix of
muddy terrain, high winds, dust, dry hot temperatures, thunderstorms, and flooding. Be sure
to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and shade! There will be NO Facilities at this location.
Camping is allowed on site. A limited number hotel rooms are available at the nearest town of
Austin, Nevada approximately 25 miles away.
